Organic coffee’s benefits that we tend to forget

1.  Coffee lowers the risk of Alzheimer’s.

According to European Journal of Neurology, coffee enhances  brain function and is linked to lowering the risk of Alzheimer’s disease.

2.  It can make you smarter.

Caffeine blocks the effects of an inhibitory transmitter known as Adenosine. By blocking Adenosine, coffee increases neuronal firing in the brain and releases neurotransmitters like dopamine and norepinephrine.

3. Burns fat and improves physical performance.

Caffeine aids in the oxidation of fatty acids and boosts your metabolism.  A study done by researches at University of Luton, found that individuals who drank coffee had a 11 % increase in their performance level.

4. Coffee is full of nutrients and antioxidants.

One cup of coffee has:

6% of the RDA for Pantothenic Acid (Vitamin B5).
11% of the RDA for Riboflavin (Vitamin B2).
2% of the RDA for Niacin (B3) and Thiamine (B1).
3% of the RDA for Potassium and Manganese.

5. Lowers the risk of Parkinson’s.

Decaf coffee is not linked to lowering the risks of Parkinson’s, but caffeine is. Coffee drinkers can decrease their risks by 32-60%.

6.  Can fight depression and boost your mood.

According to a Harvard study, women who drank four or more cups of coffee a day were 20% less likely to become depressed. Another study found that individuals who drink four or more cups a day were 53% less likely to commit suicide.

7. Trusted organic coffee brands.
